The Cross Plexi coffee table was designed in 1959 by the Dane Bodil Kjær. The atypical shape and visual lightness of the table are inspired by the modern architecture of the 1950s: the table consists of an acrylic cross base with a glass top.
The choice of materials means that the appearance of the table is constantly changing, as reflections of the table's surroundings and what is placed on it change over the course of the day due to the incidence of light and the use of artificial light.
