The Rampa is a multifunctional display/storage station on wheels, which is inspired by the traditional florists' stands that were common in Italian city squares at the time.
On the one hand, the steps serve as a bookshelf, with the four steps being covered with sheets of tempered glass, and in the bottom large step a compartment that is closed with a flap door.
Thanks to the four swivel wheels, two of which have a brake, the object can easily be moved or secured.
The Rampa was designed by Achille Castiglioni and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1965. Its smart design and versatile functionality make it the ideal choice for spaces where storage and a workstation are needed. Rampa combines style and practicality in an elegant way. The spacious bookcase and storage compartments give you plenty of opportunity to display your favorite books, decorative elements or personal belongings, while the desk gives you an inspiring place to work or write.
Whether you use it as a bookcase, desk or storage unit, Rampa adds style and functionality to your interior.

About the designers:
The Italian architect and designer brothers Achille Castiglioni (1918-2002) and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni (1913-1968) are among the biggest names in modern Italian design. Their father was the notable Italian architect Giannino Castiglioni, and their brother Livio Castiglioni also became an architect and designer.
Achille and Pier Giacomo both studied architecture at the Politecnico di Milano and later worked there as teachers. Their collaboration was productive and innovative, and the designs were often radical and humorous.
