The Kiulu Bench is a minimalist bench created by Japan-based designer Koichi of Futatsumata Studio for Artek. This is one of the items of the FIN/JPN Friendship Collection and is based on the 100th anniversary and diplomatic relations between Finland and Japan.
Designed with inspiration from the public bathing cultures of both Finland and Japan, this Kiulu bench is a multi-purpose bench suitable for use as a seat and basket, for example, with storage space for items such as towels, cosmetics, magazines or toys. 'Kiulu' means sauna bucket in Finnish and is traditionally used in public baths of both countries.
The bench is available in two sizes:
Bench size A = 46 x 36 x L 118 cm.
Bench size B = 46 x 36 x L 88 cm.
