This stylish cushion cover from Marimekko comes in soft shades of beige, linen and pink and features designer Maija Isola’s iconic Unikko floral pattern. The cover is made from a sustainable blend of recycled cotton, organic cotton and recycled linen. This not only creates a refined texture, but also makes it an environmentally conscious choice for your interior. Perfect for adding a warm, characterful touch to your sofa, armchair or bed.
The Unikko pattern originated in 1964 when Marimekko founder Armi Ratia declared that the brand would no longer produce floral prints. Not one to be limited, Maija Isola designed a whole series of expressive floral motifs in protest. One of these became Unikko – Finnish for “poppy” – and has become one of Marimekko’s most beloved and recognisable designs. Today, it adorns countless products, from textiles and bedding to Sami Ruotsalainen’s minimalist Oiva tableware.
