The fully upholstered Tearoom series by Nick Ross Studio was launched in 2018 with the introduction of the Club Chair. In 2019, a sofa and an armchair were added.
The Tearoom is meant to be versatile. Both ideal for lounge clubs and an exclusive hotel, but also for private homes. The Tearoom series is outside that it is a very comfortable seating collection and also meets the need for comfort during leisure time or relaxing breaks.
The chair was inspired by the famous Willow Chair, made for the Willow Tearooms in Glasgow in 1904, by the Scottish designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Nick Ross immediately saw the potential of this design and started using it. Visually striking, the essence of the chair was combined with Nick Ross ideas that exude elegance and strict femininity.
The couch, lounge chair and club chair share common features. They not only exude comfort, but their structure is very inviting. The backrest and the armrests are gently bent inwards for optimum cosiness. The Tearoom series is the ideal embodiment of robustness and opulent comfort!
Materials: wood construction, MDF base painted in black. Webbing, no sag springs (except the club chair), PU foam construction / covered with textile.

About the designer:
Nick Ross now lives and works in Stockholm, where he develops his designs. When working on new projects, he often explores the stories embedded in history and examines how they can translate into contemporary times. He is attracted by natural materials and tries to respect their identity while developing new and innovative find ways to use and introduce their potential that brings new dimensions to contemporary spaces.
