The Moca chair is a testament to the 'super normal' approach to design by British designer Jasper Morrison: understated, useful and responsible, the result is that the Moca brings nothing new and revolutionary, but is built with the knowledge of an experienced designer who unites it with Vitra's manufacturing expertise - and has given it such a modest appearance that it always looks as if the chair has always existed. The combination of these aesthetic features with particularly durable, high-quality materials ensures an unusually long life for the chair.
The base of Moca is made up of two bent steel tubes - one forms the front legs and also supports the backrest, and the other forms the back legs. Two veneered plywood shells are mounted on the base elements to create a comfortable, anatomically shaped seat and back. The smart design of the stacking protector between the seat and the backrest offers optimal protection of the veneer surface.
The seat shells from Moca are available in natural or dark oak veneer, and the base is available in a chrome-plated version or with a very robust, powder-coated matt black enamelled finish.
Moca meets all standard standards and is therefore suitable not only for use in private environments, but also in restaurants and other public areas.
