Light-weight and portable, the Gubi Obello Outdoor Table Lamp also has an expressive silhouette, and is innovatively composed of a single piece of mouth-blown glass. With a long-lasting battery that provides up to 40 hours of light, it can be used both indoors and outdoors and can withstand a single shower of rain, sand and soil. The integrated dimmable LED light source gives off an atmospheric ambient glow and provides different levels of illumination, from the equivalent of a single candle to full illumination.

About the designer:

The American designer William 'Bill' Edwin Curry (1927-1971) conquered the zeitgeist of the 60s and 70s with his iconic lamp designs.

He began his career as a graphic designer and art director in the aero-tech industry and in 1962 launched his own home furnishings company, Design Line Inc. Credited with developing the first 'total look' lamp shapes - eliminating the lampshade from the base lamp concept and instead exploiting the bare lamp into a playful, self-contained unit - he was recognized as one of the leading designers of California by the time he died very young  at age 43.
