In 1971 Verner Panton designed the modular wire Pantonova seating system for the now legendary Danish restaurant Varna.
This series is characteristic of the atmosphere of the 1970s, a time known for its lush, experimental shapes and vibrant colours. The Pantonova chair gained even more fame as the favorite chair of evil shipping magnate Karl Stromberg in the 1977 James Bond movie, "The Spy Who Loved Me."
The Danish Montana is now introducing a version that is also suitable for outdoor use. With its organic, geometric shapes, the Pantonova is also very suitable for outdoor use. The famous wire construction gives the design an airy look that leaves the surroundings of your garden/patio/terrace undisturbed while still making a statement.
The modules can be used solo as sculptural chairs or freely combined into various organically shaped seating formations, such as a circle, semicircle, wave or S-shape.
