The Pao collection is the result of collaboration with the well-known Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa. Named after the soft, glowing shape of traditional Mongolian Pao tents that are lit up at night and come in a variety of colors and sizes.
By keeping the design modest and simple, he harmonizes the design with its surroundings.

About the designer:
Born in Yamanashi prefecture in 1956, Naoto Fukasawa founded NAOTO FUKASAWA DESIGN in 2003. His designs are known for their ability to approximate and convey the true essence of an object.
He currently designs for a wide variety of leading brands worldwide, advising and designing for local Japanese companies; He is also on Muji's design advisory board and is Maruni's art director. His designs span a wide variety of fields, from precision electronic equipment to furniture and interior spaces.
Fukasawa is the curator of the Japan Folk Crafts Museum, a professor in the Integrated Design Department at Tama Art University, and one of the directors of 21_21 Design Sight. He has been awarded the title of Royal Designer for Industry (Royal Society of Arts) and is a recipient of the Isamu Noguchi Award. He designed Pao for HAY.
