The Parasol coffee table from Maze is a fine example of their design philosophy: playful and practical.
The coffee table is a simple and unadorned table designed by the Finnish master furniture maker Antrei Hartikainen, who was inspired by ponds and water lilies when making the table. The design has a clever construction of wood and metal that creates the illusion that the tabletop floats over the base - like water lily leaves floating on the surface of the water.
The name of the coffee table, Parasol, refers to parasols, a playful nod to the structure of the table. The wooden base also serves as a storage basket for, for example, a blanket, children's toys or magazines, these items are covered by the table top as if it were a parasol.
The Parasol coffee table is a great example of furniture that strikes the perfect balance between playful and functional, smart and sleek. That is why it is perfect for your living room, the design can easily be compared with other styles.
