The PH 3/3 pendant lamp by Louis Poulsen is part of the legendary lighting family by Poul Henningsen with an innovative three-shade system developed by Henningsen in the 1920s. The three shades form a sculptural lamp that provides a pleasant, glare-free light and timeless elegance brings into any room.
PH 3/3 is one of the lesser known designs in the series, a so-called full size lamp. These designs have shades with a ratio of approximately 3:2:1, making them appear rounder than many of the other designs in the collection. The full-size luminaires are glare-free and therefore ideally placed high in a room.
The base and shades of the PH 3/3 pendant lamp are painted matt black for a modern, sophisticated look. The inside of the shades is white and reflects a soft, mostly downward light, and the soft glow of the luminaire can be made even softer with the frosted glass diffuser included with the lamp.

He began to practice the trade of traditional functionalist architecture, but over the years when his professional interests changed, he focused mainly on lighting, for which he became famous.
