The original Planner coffee tables by designer Paul McCobb from 1960 are available again and consist of a series of three minimalist and practical tables.
The Planner coffee tables are part of the relaunched collection of legendary American designer Paul McCobb. Paul McCobb was one of the leading figures in the American design movement in the 1950s.
He was known for creating sleek designs where form follows function and the planner series is a brilliant example of this. The tabletop is available in two types of marble, a cream and a black version, suitable for any modern home that appreciates the simplicity and materials used in contemporary design. The textured yet minimalist marble surface is placed on a durable powder-coated steel base.
The marble table tops are only 20 mm thick and the slender powder-coated bases in welted steel have a light appearance but are extremely strong. Small details like the narrowing of the welded steel at the "feet" of the base is how one recognizes a genuine McCobb design.
Paul McCobb designed three types of Planner Coffee Tables; a rectangular, a round and a square. All versions are available with black or cream colored marble.

About the designer:
Paul McCobb (1917-1969) was one of the leading contemporary furniture designers on the American design scene in the 1950s and 1960s. In a span of twenty years he also designed an impressive range of multifunctional furniture, accessories and textile patterns.
