Characteristic of this lamp are the round organic shapes, the flowing cylindrical base and the dome shade of this Normann Copenhagen Porta table lamp.

The soft glow of the light creates a pleasant atmosphere, perfect for relaxing with a book or enjoying your garden. The lampshade can be rotated 90 degrees to allow placement in smaller setups.

The wireless design gives you infinite flexibility, with a discreet USB charger for easy charging.

About the designer:

Simon Legald studies design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and will graduate in the summer of 2012. His work consists of both small and large-scale products.

“Honesty is what makes a product understandable, and is what describes the functionality of the products. If you understand the product, it needs no explanation. The essence of my design is that it is bought and used. Therefore, it must satisfy not only the functional aspects, but also the psychological and aesthetic needs. For me, simplicity describes the true identity of objects and makes them reliable. In my designs I try not to add unnecessary details. I work with simplicity by emphasizing the necessities instead of hiding them. It gives the product a simple and honest look.”
