Fredericia's Søborg chair is part of Børge Mogensen's collection of curved plywood chairs.
The collection was inspired by an international design competition for reasonably priced furniture organized by MoMA New York in 1948. The first Søborg chairs with a wooden frame were released in 1950 and in 1952 the collection expanded with versions with a metal frame. The chairs are excellent examples of Mogensen's fresh, timeless functionalism that blends easily into any environment, from living spaces to restaurants and other public spaces.
The Søborg chairs are manufactured in Denmark.
