About the designer:
Tom Dixon rose to fame in the mid-1980s as a maverick, an uneducated designer with a line of welded salvage furniture. During his collaboration with the Italian giant Cappellini, he designed the widely acclaimed 'S' chair.
In the late 1990s, Tom became Creative Director at Habitat, responsible for rejuvenating the brand while maintaining Terence Conran's vision of enriching everyday life through simple, modern design.
Since founding his own design agency of the same name in 2002, Tom's work has become even more prominent through the development of many iconic designs and interiors.
