The Tom Dixon Spring series consists of brass spirals and is illuminated via a central LED in the middle.
The flexible metal ribbons are arranged like a whisk around the dimmable Tom Dixon LED disc. The semi-transparent shape thus created can be freely configured to a variety of silhouettes - from a flat arrangement reminiscent of a spirograph drawing, to a flying saucer configuration, and to a fuller shape resembling a pumpkin.
Due to the nature of the spiral design, the voluminous lampshades can be easily packed flat for transport. This year the Spring family has been expanded and adapted to a wall and ceiling lamp.

About the designer:
British designer Tom Dixon rose to fame in the mid-1980s as "the talented designer with a line in welded salvage furniture." Towards the end of the 1980s he designed contemporary chairs for Italian design brands such as Cappellini before setting up his own design company 'Eurolounge' to create and sell his work.
2002 marked a new phase in Tom Dixon's career with the launch of his eponymous design company that designs and manufactures a wide range of contemporary lighting and furniture, inspired by the unique heritage, innovation and robust, no-nonsense engineering of the British industry. Tom Dixon's most iconic designs include the space helmet-inspired Mirror Ball pendant, Copper Shade, hand-beaten Beat Lights, and the Wingback Chair.
