The 006 AA bench table by Kwangho Lee for the Finnish Vaarnii consists of three apparently simple elements that are stacked on top of each other: a top that functions as a table top, slanted legs in an inverted V-shape and a whole tree trunk in the middle.
However, joining the three shapes is not an easy task as it actually requires a lot of skills and know-how from the carpenters.
The fascinating design is made of Finnish pine wood and will become even more interesting over time, as the natural oils and resins of the wood will react to UV rays and slowly change the color of the table to a beautiful honey shade. Pine is also a softwood, which means that scratches and dents can always occur on the surface.
Vaarnii encourages you to embrace these imperfections and see them as characteristic signs of aging that only add to the allure of the piece.
Colour: Oil-waxed pine. Finish: Matte wood oil (Osmo Color hardwax-oil 3062 matt).

♠ Made to order.
Note:
Pine is a soft wood and will eventually come to life through the resulting dents and scratches, which should be embraced and enjoyed as characteristic signs of aging. Pine wood will naturally change color as it ages (patination), with your pale furniture piece gradually maturing to a beautiful warm honey color over a number of years.
