The Landi was introduced in 1939 at the Swiss National Exhibition, nicknamed the "Landi," hence the name, and was one of the first outdoor chairs made of metal.
The chair has a width of 10.5 centimeters, a depth of 9 centimeters and a height of 12.5 centimeters.
Note: the scale of the miniature is 1:6.
Miniaturization means concentration: Vitra Design Museum faithfully recreates furniture design classics in miniaturized three-dimensional form. Many of these designs, such as Le Corbusier's chaise longue or Gerrit Rietveld's red and blue chair, are today as widely known as the most celebrated works of art and are coveted by museums and collectors around the world. These miniatures illustrate at a glance what design means and what role it plays in the industrial production process.
