The Lungangolo shelf from the Danish Character is a design by Achille Castiglioni from 1991, its unusual structure will certainly catch the eye in your home.
Castiglioni has always been fascinated with the corners and other unused areas of a home, and many of his designs are designed precisely for those spaces.
There are two versions of the Lungangolo storage unit that are mirror images of each other. Castiglioni's first intention was that one would meet the needs of right-handed people and the other would suit left-handed people.

About the designer:
The Italian architect and designer Achille Castiglioni (1918-2002) is one of the biggest names in modern Italian design. His father was a notable Italian architect Giannino Castiglioni, and his brothers Pier Giacomo and Livio were also involved in architecture and design.
Achille and Pier Giacomo worked together as a designer couple until Pier Giacomo's death in 1968. Achille received the prestigious Compasso d'Oro design prize nine times during his career.
