The Rivi fabric, designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for the Finnish Artek, is a unique textile pattern consisting of rows of long, parallel lines with delicate details.

The pre-cut fabric is made of a strong canvas cotton.

The appeal of Rivi, Finnish for "line", lies in its hand-drawn lines – Artek has a long tradition of making furniture from wood and sees organic irregularities as an addition rather than a flaw.

The Rivi home collection includes fabrics, cushion covers, trays, cases and bags in various beautiful Scandinavian colours.

About the designers:

The Bouroullec brothers, Ronan (born 1971) and Erwan (born 1976) were born in Brittany, France and their design office is based in Paris. The brothers have become one of the most successful designers in France and have designed for companies such as Artek, Iittala, Vitra, Alessi, Magis, Flos and Hay. The Bouroullec brothers have already won numerous prizes.
