In 1953, American designer Alexander Girard created a collection of wooden shapes that depict both humans and animals.
He initially did this for his home in Santa Fe. Today, Girard's colorful collection of wooden shapes is produced by Vitra and continues to be handcrafted and painted. Each wooden figure is therefore unique, even if the differences between them are nil.
Inspired by Girard's passion for South American, Asian and European folk art, these adorable wooden dolls can be used as both decorative items and toys.
The Dog consists of three parts that are held together by means of a rod. This allows the parts to rotate and loosen. The wooden dog is decorative, but can also be used as a toy. A must have for every dog lover!
The dog comes in a beautiful gift box with a certificate.
